“Like many of my patients, I did not understand that my various accumulating symptoms were signs of fibromyalgia.
Chronic migraines, debilitating fatigue, frequent infections, and neck and shoulder pain forced me to reduce my work schedule and curtail most social engagements. My weekends were spent lying down on the sofa, too tired to participate in family outings.
I thought someone had to have more body pain than I did to be diagnosed with fibromyalgia, so it wasn’t until I went to an appointment with a fibromyalgia specialist with my mother (when she was diagnosed) that the specialist diagnosed me as well. It was then I began my research and began to understand the many varied symptoms of fibromyalgia. I read and studied and thankfully found a combination of treatments that helped me to slowly improve.
My teenage daughter and my mother are improving as well. I am now able to socialize, exercise and work again. I am excited to help others with fibromyalgia regain their health.”
